LOGICUBE® SETS A NEW STANDARD IN DIGITAL FORENSICS WITH LAUNCH OF FORENSIC FALCON™. The new forensic imaging solution achieves speeds of 20GB/min
May 16, 2013 Chatsworth, CA. Logicube® Inc., the industry’s leader in hard drive duplication and Digital Forensics technology, has announced the addition of the Forensic Falcon™ to its line of premier forensic imaging solutions.
“Logicube’s Forensic Falcon™ will set a new standard in digital forensic data imaging technology,” commented Farid Emrani, President and CEO of Logicube. “This new solution was developed after in-depth discussions with our customers in the government and private sector, both domestic and international, on what they wanted in their ideal forensic imaging solution,” continued Emrani. “The Falcon provides forensic investigators with the most integrated, fully-matrixed, feature-rich solution that attains unparalleled speed and hits the mark on all fronts.”
The Falcon provides extremely fast imaging speeds of 20GB/min., and allows users to image and verify from 4 write-protected source drives to up to 5 different destinations. Imaging to or from a network location is supported using network protocols. A web-based user interface provides remote access using a web browser to manage all operations of the Falcon. The Falcon’s multi-tasking feature, which allows users to perform imaging, wiping and hash tasks simultaneously improves efficiency and shortens the evidence collection process. The unique parallel imaging capability of Falcon gives users the option to image the same source drive to multiple destinations using different imaging formats.
“Logicube has been a leader in digital forensic technology for almost a decade,” stated Mr. Emrani. “We continue our tradition of being first to the market with unique, cutting-edge technology that is future-proof,” added Emrani. ”We believe the Falcon will be the forensic imaging solution by which all other solutions are measured. We expect customers and resellers alike who may be using one of our competitors’ products to quickly move to join the Logicube family by adding the Forensic Falcon to their arsenal,” concluded Emrani.
The patent-pending Concurrent Image+Verify capability of Falcon takes advantage of destination hard drives that may be faster than the source hard drive, effectively reducing the total image process time by up to half. The solution can also perform a forensic, filter-based file copy. This allows users to filter and copy by the extended file name such as .pdf, .jpg, .mov etc. The Falcon’s compact size makes it extremely portable and ideal for field work and features a large, 7” capacitive color touch screen. The unit provides built-in support for SAS/SATA/USB/Firewire drive interfaces and offers adapters to support IDE, eSATA, mSATA, microSATA and flash drives. Other features of Falcon include a multi-pass wipe function, AES 256 encryption and decryption, the ability to create password-protected user profiles and a task macro that can set specific tasks to be performed sequentially.
The Forensic Falcon will be featured at the upcoming 2013 CEIC Conference, May 19-21st in Orlando, Florida and at the Techno Security Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC, June 2-4. The Falcon will begin shipping to customers at the end of June 2013.
