Compatible with Forensic Dossier© and MPFS™
NETConnect's modular design provides seamless connectivity and offers immediate, secure network access to captured evidence data stored in the Forensic Dossier tray or MPFS.
Configure as a NAS (Network Attached Storage)
NETConnect can be configured as a NAS; multiple users on the network can immediately start working with evidence data stored in the attached Dossier tray or MPFS. Users can quickly copy data to their local drive or to any location on their network
Push Data
NETConnect can be configured to push or transfer evidence data to any workstation or storage device on the network using FTP, CIFS or NFS file access protocols. Users can then preview data or copy data to any other directory on the network.
Live Acquisition
NETConnect's live acquisition feature captures a "snapshot" of the suspect PC's volatile memory. Forensic investigators can access important data such as passwords, IP addresses, what processes were running at the time of capture and other data not typically stored on the hard drive. A user-created USB flash drive, along with the NETConnect connected to either the Dossier Tray or MPFS facilitates the process. Files can be captured to either dd images or E01 file format.
Verification Feature
Data transfer integrity is ensured with a verification feature. NETConnect provides either remote verification (comparing MD5 hash values for each file transferred) or read-back verification (byte-by-byte comparison of each file)
iSCSI Protocol
Use an iSCSI protocol and NETConnect to view any hard drive stored in the Dossier tray as a physical drive in its native format.
Macro Feature
Improved efficiency is provided with a convenient Macro feature. The transfer/push and verification process is automated by using a preconfigured command that can be set to transfer, verify and also perform disk management functions such as wipe and format if required.
Administrative Functions
Built-in security is provided with a full set of administrative functions that allows administrators to establish user names, manage access control, set passwords, maintain credentials, set destinations IP addresses and domain names
Reduce Storage Media Investment
The NETConnect facilitates broad access to evidence data, no need to make multiple copies of evidence drives to share with the analysis team
Disk Management
Quickly move to the next capture session with a convenient disk management feature. Once data transfer and verification is completed users can wipe and if desired, format evidence drives stored in the attached Dossier tray or MPFS.
