Logicube Announces New Option For The OmniCloneŽ XiChatsworth, CA - Tuesday, April 10, 2007
Logicube, Inc. the world leader in hardware duplication systems announced a cloning and verification option for its popular OmniCloneŽ Xi product line. The Verification StationŽ module uses an MD5 hash (or digital fingerprint) to compare the master and target drive.
"Demanding government regulations and increased data security concerns require that many IT departments add a verification process when cloning hard drives." Said Farid Emrani, COO of Logicube, Inc. "We knew that many of our customers using our popular OmniClone solutions needed the added functionality. By offering the Verification Station option we've made it simple and affordable for OmniClone users to verify the integrity of the cloning process at UDMA-5 speeds."
Users can purchase multiple Verification Stations to replace any drive station on the OmniClone. The Verification Station uses MD5 128-bit authentication and will clone while verifying at up to 4.0GB/min. The device calculates an MD5 hash on the target drive data, compares it to the master drive and alerts the user of any mismatch. The Verification Station will also calculate an MD5 hash on a user-specified interval of sectors and features built-in IDE and SATA connectors.
Logicube's popular OmniClone Xi solutions deliver product-grade cloning for users who routinely need to duplicate multiple hard drives. The OmniClone Xi offers three models; the 2Xi with one master and two targets, the 5Xi with one master and five targets, and 10XI with one master and 10 targets. All offer high-speed hard drive duplication, feature embedded software, built-in connectivity for SATA, IDE, EIDE, UDMA ( a USB port is included) and accept mixed brand and size master and target hard drives. The rugged design of the OmniClone allows users to clone from 50 to 5,000 systems a day.
